SELF DEFENSE TIPS FROM SCAMS
In todays day an age there is a huge potential for scam artists to work there stuff on innocent victims not expecting anything. There is a new scam out where you get a phone call on your cell and if you dont transfer money into someones account the person they are holding hostage will be killed. How they got the phone numbers is still unknown but cell phone companies are offering free change of phone numbers if you are a victim of this. By the way there is no hostage. It the same with email, every time I open my email there is an email in my bulk folder from so called PayPal, eBay, someone from Africa who is the late living relative of god knows who, who needs to transfer money over so it's not taken from the dirty government that runs the country. I also love the online lotteries, I think I have won over 10 billion dollars this week alone. Believe it or not some people fall for this stuff, it may sound stupid for people to believe in these scams, but people do and I am not saying it's you but if it is, it's time to educate yourself. Lets say you get an email from your PayPal account stating you need to update your information, or there is usual activity in your account. Paypal only addresses there customers by there account name, scam artists will address you in a general way, not using your name, this should give you an indication that its a fake email from PayPal. The best way to educate yourself is to go directly to the source such as PayPal or eBay and ask them questions. Like the old saying goes "knowledge is power".
